Kohima, 12 December (MTNews): The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU), Head Office Kohima, celebrated Advent Christmas and felicitated the Best Traffic Award 2023 at Hotel Japfu Kohima on 12 December, 2023.
During the program, the Best Traffic Award 2023 among females was awarded to Benthunglo Tungoe, WPC North Traffic Control, Kohima, and among males, it was awarded to W Nahfo Konyak, T/C South Traffic Control, Kohima. They were felicitated with cash awards and citations.
NCSU President Pele Khezhie, while handing over the awards, mentioned that it was a simple gesture to appreciate the hard work of the traffic personnel in managing heavy vehicular traffic in the capital city. He also extended greetings, wishing Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024.
SP Kohima, Bharat Laxman Markad, lauded NCSU for recognizing the works of the traffic personnel, which is rarely done by the general public. He also hoped that the contractors and suppliers would continue to deliver quality service despite not receiving recognition for their work.
