Mokokchung, October 7 (MTNews): The 26 Aonglenden Assembly Constituency, NDPP held a ‘Party workers general meeting,’ with Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, at Marepkong Community Hall on Friday.
The NLA speaker praised the 26 Aonglenden A/C NDPP party frontals and workers for their untiring work for the uplift of the NDPP.
Sharingain noted that politics is all about propaganda and warned party members not to fall victim to rumours. In addition, he stated that the seat-sharing (NDPP-40 & BJP -20) alliance with the BJP is a “fact” and that it requires no further explanation.
According to the NLA Speaker, the NDPP stands for a solution to the Naga issue, which is approaching its end, in which a new chapter of Naga history will be rewritten for the next generation.
Earlier, N. Bendang Jamir, president of the NDPP Mokokchung region; Sulemtula, vice president of the Regional Women’s Wing, and Bendang Walling, president of the Youth Wing delivered short speeches while the welcome note was delivered by Kikumsungba, Vice President, NDPP 26 Aonglenden A/C and invocation was said by MBC, Deacon Bendangliba.
The general meeting was attended by party workers from Dilong, Sangtemla, Arkong Marepkong, Ungma, Settsü and Kupza units.
