The installation and oath-taking ceremony was officiated by Repameren, President of NDPP Mokokchung Region. A total of 397 party members took the oath and pledge from the five units of the 27 Mokokchung Town A/C – Kumlong, Mongsenbai, Kichutip, Salangtem, and Aongza wards.

Metsubo Jamir, Minister of Rural Development & SIRD, Nagaland, in his keynote address encouraged the office bearers to uphold the values and vision of the NDPP, stating that their responsibility was not only to the party but also to the people they serve.

Addressing the new office bearers, Jamir said, “397 is a very big strength. When we go on working, our responsibility is very important for the party to grow.” He cautioned that if members “give trouble, then it will be big trouble,” urging them to align themselves well with the party.

Acknowledging the contributions of past leaders and members, he reminded them that their work should not be forgotten. He emphasized that all the ten constituencies in Mokokchung should grow, adding that the region has been supporting the party well.

With the election approaching, Jamir stressed the need for unity, stating that all seven Assembly Constituencies where the party is in power must come together for success. “This team will face the election,” he said, while encouraging the members to work for the party’s cause. He also encouraged them to engage in self-reflection, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling the true meaning of politics.

Jamir highlighted the recent medical camp organized by the 27 Mokokchung Town Assembly Constituency Youth Organization of NDPP, which he said was successfully conducted across the constituency. He described it as an eye-opener, as it gave an opportunity to help people who could not afford treatment outside. “I realized that people should be treated with love and not for votes,” he added.

Jamir also cut the ribbon to induct 100 trainees from Mokokchung Town for training and placement in hotel management, an initiative powered by the Honda India Foundation CSR. The program, which he initiated specifically for the youths of the 27 Mokokchung Town Constituency, also envisions global opportunities with training and 100% job placement in Japan, Dubai, and other hospitality hubs. Later, he also attended as the Guest of Honor at the 5th Football Tournament-cum-Penalty Shootout organized by the 27 Mokokchung Town AC Youth Organization at the Multipurpose Hall, Imkongmeren Sports Complex.

Marchizüng, Vice President of the Central Executive Board (CEB), delivered a short speech. The program was chaired by Meyila Jamir, President of the Women Organization, 27th A/C. Imtioshi, President of Kichutip Unit, invoked God’s blessing to commence the event, followed by a welcome address delivered by C Tia Longkumer, President of the 27 AC. Temsuwati, General Secretary of the Youth Organization, 27 AC, proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with a benediction by R Amongla, Treasurer of the Women Organization, 27 AC.
