Kohima, 4 March (MTNews): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in a statement on Monday appreciated the passing of the “people centric Budget 2024-25.” It said that the budget passed recently “only shows the firm commitment of the leadership towards ensuring that the youth of the State are not deprived of their role in the nation building process and also at the same time ensuring that the very core of our economy, the Argi and allied sector is further strengthened.”
“While it has been the commitment of the NDPP to ensure Good Governance right from the beginning, it is indeed encouraging that the Government is moving in the positive direction towards achieving this goal,” the NDPP said.
The NDPP also congratulated the Chief Minister, the Speaker and all the Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for having conducted yet another successful Assembly Session of the 14th NLA wherein many important resolutions and decisions pertaining to the people were passed. “The cohesiveness of the members in standing united for the welfare of the citizens of the State speaks volumes of the commitment of the leaders towards ensuring the growth of the people of the State and the democratic system they represent,” the party said.
The party also said that it is confident that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Rio will continue to “serve the people by ensuring an all-round growth of the State and her people in the years to come.”
NDPP congratulates Dr Chumber Murry
The NDPP also congratulated Dr Chumben Murry, Advisor to the Chief Minister for having been given the “all important Party ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due later.” It said that the people of the State need to have a dynamic and capable leader representing Nagaland in Parliament and the candidature of Dr Chumben cannot be more befitting for the state. “Not only is he a seasoned and groomed politician, but his vast knowledge on topics that are pertinent towards the development of the State and her citizens will play a pivotal role in the growth of the State once he is elected to Parliament,” the NDPP reasoned.
Further, the NDPP called upon the people of the State to continue and support the NDPP-led PDA Government towards “transforming Nagaland with the vision of sustainable development.”
