Kohima, 20 March (MTNews): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) officially handed over its party ticket to the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed gratitude to the alliance partners for their unwavering support in strengthening the government. Emphasizing on Murry’s past experience in key portfolios, successful medical career, and grassroots connection, Rio voiced confidence in Murry’s ability to serve the people effectively.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton emphasized the strong alliance between BJP and NDPP, and urged BJP to extend their full support to Dr Chumben Murry.
Dr Chumben Murry expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the party for their confidence in him. Dr Murry pledged to be a strong advocate for Naga issues and assured that he would represent the voices of the people in the Parliament if elected. Dr Murry further affirmed his commitment to serving the people of Nagaland diligently and striving for progress and unity under the PDA coalition.
