The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Mokokchung Region has directed all its members to enroll under the Naga People’s Front (NPF) as part of the preparations for the proposed merger between the two major regional parties in Nagaland.

The enrolment drive will take place on October 13, 2025, at the Shilu Park Conference Hall, adjacent to Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, which currently serves as the NDPP Mokokchung Region’s makeshift office.

According to a circular issued by NDPP Mokokchung Region President Repameren, all registered members at the Region, Assembly Constituency, and Unit levels are required to enroll as NPF Active and Primary members during the one-day exercise.

The enrolment schedule is as follows:
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Region Office bearers and Region Frontal Organisations
11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon: NDPP MMC Councillors and respective Town Councillors
12:00 Noon onwards: Assembly Constituency office bearers and Frontal Organisations

The circular further stated that membership records will be submitted to the party’s Central Office by October 16, in line with the directive from the party leadership. All members have been urged to complete the process within the stipulated time.

This development comes amid intensifying coordination between the NDPP and NPF leadership over the proposed merger, which is expected to reshape Nagaland’s political scenario.
