Kohima, 17 May (MTNews): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) marked the 6th Foundation Day of the party today. Commemorating the day, CM Rio tweeted, “we celebrate our mission, vision, and goals, and reaffirm our commitment to serve all sections of society. #FactaNonVerba”.

Meanwhile, the NDPP Central Women Organization celebrated the day at its Kohima offices. The CWO organized the service where NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and members gathered for a prayer meeting.
Meanwhile, the only opposition party in the state, INC Nagaland announced that 30 young leaders from the 9 Kohima Town AC have joined the Congress party under the leadership of NPCC president Supongmeren Jamir.

“Their passion and commitment to the party’s ideology are truly inspiring,” the INC Nagaland declared.
As the Congress party struggle to choose the CM of Karnataka between two of its strongest leaders, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, the NPCC president Jamir felt that the victory in Karnataka would boost the morale of state Congress workers.
Moreover, he had said that the Karnataka outcome is ‘just a start’ and that it will have an impact on the Lok Sabha election in 2024.
