Kohima, 7 March (MTNews): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Western Angami AC organized a thanksgiving program for Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture, on successful completion of one year in the office on 7 March 2024. The Minister in her speech attributed the electoral success to the people of the Western Angami. She further stated that it is “because of our joint efforts, God has answered our prayers where we won by seven votes and we created history. It is not I, but it was the 8 Western Angami who created history.”

On the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, she sought the support and cooperation of the Western Angami region. The Minister also highlighted some of the projects which are soon to be undertaken under the Western Angami region. As their elected representative, she assured to strive for a brighter future, where the community and Nagas can come together to make its collective aspirations become a reality.

President, Women Wing, NDPP A/C, Kazheli Ali Tungoe in her welcome address called for unity, support and cooperation of all the party workers and strengthen the hands of the Minister and NDPP.

In his presidential address, Mhiesilhoukho Yalie, President 8 Western Angami congratulated the Minister for completion of one year in office. Stating that it is a very significant day for the Assembly constituency, Yalie thanked all the members of the 19 units under Western Angami for their constant support and cooperation. He expressed hope that with God’s blessings and guidance and the support of the people, it can achieve greater things in the future under the leadership of Minister Kruse.

On the ensuing Lok Sabha election, he also requested the party members to be mentally prepared to support the PDA consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Rovilhousie Miasalhou, working president NDPP AC while Pastor Neino Zhotso, Minister’s Hill Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.
