Manipur kicked off their campaign in the 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025 (U-14) with a convincing 5-wicket win over Nagaland at the ACA Cricket Academy Ground, Fulung, Guwahati. A disciplined performance with both ball and bat helped Manipur secure their first points in the tournament.

After being asked to bat first, Nagaland struggled to find momentum and were bundled out for 80 in just 18.4 overs. Chubasunep top-scored with 16 off 20 balls, but no other batter could provide meaningful resistance. Manipur’s bowlers maintained pressure from the start, with Lamnganba N picking up 2/15 in his 5-over spell. Ningthoujam Bidtananda Singh was instrumental in the middle overs with figures of 2/29 in 4 overs, while Shohel Akter wrapped up the innings in emphatic fashion, taking 2 wickets in just 4 balls without conceding a run.

In response, Manipur chased down the target in 13.2 overs, finishing at 81/5. Sagatpam Telheiba led the batting with a composed 22 off 27 deliveries. Despite a fighting effort from Nagaland’s Sangtsulen Tshunherii, who took 3/24 in 4.2 overs, Manipur held their nerve to seal the victory.

Ningthoujam Bidtananda Singh of Manipur was named Player of the Match.

Nagaland will next play Sikkim on April 24 at the Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati.
