NEC releases nearly Rs 4 crores in October for development projects across Nagaland

The North Eastern Council (NEC) last month released nearly Rs 4 crore for various development projects in Nagaland. The information was included in an update issued by the NEC under the Ministry of DoNER on Nagaland projects for October 2025.

The projects, under the Scheme of NEC, include the setting up of piglet production farms in Nihoto and Vidima villages, construction of a Working Women’s Hostel in Kohima, infrastructure development at the Kohima Orphanage Home, and the conservation and propagation of indigenous fodder for sustainable livestock development.

The NEC has also approved a new project to upgrade the Lampong Sheanghah–Nyasa Village road in Mon district, at an estimated cost of Rs 23 crore. (With AIR inputs)
