Nagaland sealed a place in the semi-finals of the NECDC U23 Women’s Interstate Tournament 2026 after registering a four-wicket win over Manipur at the Sikkim Cricket Ground in Rangpo on April 8. The victory ensured that Nagaland finished as Group-A table toppers.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Nagaland produced a disciplined bowling performance to bundle out Manipur for just 37 runs in 16.3 overs. Manipur struggled to gain any momentum with the bat, with Niruka Laishram scoring 6 off 10 balls and Lourembam Prena contributing 6 off 14 as the joint top scorers. Roma Subha led the charge for Nagaland with an outstanding spell, claiming 3 wickets for 5 runs in 2.3 overs and keeping the pressure on throughout the innings.
Chasing a modest target of 38, Nagaland faced some resistance from the Manipur bowlers but managed to reach 38 for 6 in 11.2 overs. Bipila anchored the chase with a composed unbeaten 12 off 12 deliveries, guiding her side home in a tense finish.
For Manipur, Thoudam Mangalsana delivered an impressive performance with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 14 runs in her 4 overs to keep the contest alive despite the low total.
Roma Subha was named Player of the Match for her decisive bowling spell that set up the victory. Bipila’s calm finish with the bat also proved crucial in sealing the result.
With this win, Nagaland advanced to the semi-finals as Group-A toppers and are set to face Meghalaya on April 9.
