Nagaland University inaugurated its new Administrative Block at the School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Medziphema Campus, on February 24, 2025. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, faculty, and staff, with Prof. Jagadish K Patnaik, Vice-Chancellor, as the Chief Guest and Prof Akali Sema, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Medziphema Campus, chairing the event. The program began with a dedication prayer, followed by the unfurling of the NU flag and singing of the University Anthem.
The highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the plaque and ribbon-cutting by the Chief Guest, marking the official opening of the Administrative Block. Attendees were then given a tour of the facility, designed to improve the university’s administrative efficiency and support services.
Prof Patnaik emphasized the university’s commitment to advancing agricultural education and research in the region. He highlighted the role of modern infrastructure in fostering academic excellence and administrative efficiency. He urged the faculty and research staff to engage in high-quality research work that contributes meaningfully to the field of agriculture and allied sciences. He also reaffirmed his commitment to further infrastructure development within the university, recognizing its vital role in fostering academic excellence and innovation.
