Mokokchung, March 17 (MTNews):A book titled “Mungujemba Tesayur Ka” or “An Unsung Teacher” written by Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger was released by Rev. Dr. Noklen, Pastor, Ungma Baptist Church at Hotel Whispering Winds Conference Hall, Mokokchung on March 17.
The book features the biography of Late Limasungba of Ungma Village who worked as a pastor in Alisopur and Ungma Villages. Late Limasungba was the pioneer in the establishment of Ungma Senso Mungdang and Soyim Students’ Union and he was the first president of SSU. He was also the man behind the formation of Ungma Laishir Telongjem.
Rev. Dr. Noklen during the occasion said that Late Limasungba was a personality whose footprints were engraved in every field. “He was a multi-talented pastor whose achievements cannot be achieved by many,” he added.
The eldest son of Late Limasungba, L. Mongkum Jamir, MD, Symbios Creations (P) Ltd and the sponsor of the book also spoke during the release of his father’s biography. He recommended the readers to read pages 64 and 80 to know about his father’s mission works and encounters with evil spirits.
At the release, Amenla Mar, Merentuba Longkumer, Ex-Pastor, Ungma and Muthingnyuba Sangtam, MLA, also shared their experiences with the late pastor.
Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, the writer of the book, appreciated everyone behind the success of the book. He added that there was more to write about Late Limasungba and expressed that through the book many will be inspired and blessed.
