Kohima, 12 March (MTNews): Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Suman Kumar Bery, inaugurated the histopathology lab at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on 12 March 2024, as part of the initiative led by the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
During the inaugural program, Managing Director of NHAK, Dr. Sendimeren Aonok, described the event as a historic moment for the state, made possible through Prime Minister and CSR projects. He highlighted that this histopathology unit is the first of its kind installed under the CSR program, sponsored by Numaligarh Refinery Limited.
Joint Secretary of IDAN, Reny Wilfred, IAS, also emphasized the significance of this milestone for NHAK and Nagaland, marking the establishment of the first histopathology lab in Kohima. He expressed gratitude to all contributors and noted the collaboration with District administrations, NGOs, and partners like ‘Doctors For You’, who supported the state with manpower, expertise, capacity building, and training throughout the project’s implementation.
