Kohima, October 15 (MTNews): Nagaland Tribune, a new media house with its headquarters in Kohima was formally launched today by President of Nagaland Press Association, H.Chishi.

 

Chishi congratulated the editorial board and the team who worked behind the launch of the news portal and noted that the advancement of social media and the system and method to feed the consumers have shifted enormously.

 

“People are constantly looking for exclusive news,” Chishi noted and encouraged the media house team to pull up their socks and supply news according to the needs of the consumers.
“We have come to a certain age where there is a lot of competitiveness,” he added.

 

He further said how difficult it had been in the earlier days before the internet for people working in media to provide and fulfill the needs of the consumers.
Chishi emphasized on the importance of vibrant journalism that can mold and shape the opinion and perception of people.

 

Nagaland Tribune is a web portal founded with “a commitment to provide unbiased reportage that intends to address and bring to the fore issues and challenges faced by the community.”

 

Earlier in the program, the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by KABA AG Fellowship pastor Arep Tzüdir while the welcome note was delivered by Zenei Miachieo, Assistant Editor, Nagaland Tribune.

 

Chief Editor Kekhriesituo Yaotsu chaired the program and vote of thanks was proposed by Ketayinla Jamir, Editor, Nagaland Tribune.
