The 4th General Session of the Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) was held on January 24 at the Conference Hall of Tourist Lodge Dimapur, under the theme “To serve the suffering humanity.”
The outgoing president, Povotso Lohe, in his presidential address, called upon the NGOs across the state engaged in charity work to rededicate their services to suffering humanity with greater efforts. He emphasized the aims and objectives of the Forum, particularly in providing a common platform for NGOs in the state while striving to safeguard their rights and privileges.
During the session, a new team of office bearers for the next three-year term was selected through a Selection Committee constituted earlier. The new team includes Dr Andrew Ahoto as President, Vikali A Zhmomi as Vice President, Azungla James as General Secretary, Jess T Murry as Assistant General Secretary, Annie Jain as Treasurer, Mariam Phom as Finance Secretary, Keren Sumi as Joint Finance Secretary, Alole as Organising Secretary, and Lisali as Information & Publicity Secretary.
The new President, Dr Andrew Ahoto, appreciated the sincere efforts undertaken by the outgoing team on various issues, which helped elevate the Forum to a higher level of recognition. He also assured the members of his commitment to render his best service to the Forum.
Earlier, the invocation was delivered by Rev Dr Vikheshe Chishi, and the vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice President, Vikali A Zhmomi.
The financial report for the outgoing tenure was approved by the House, while Nungsangmeren, General Secretary, presented the Secretary’s report.
