In accordance with a directive from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, all ward authorities within the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) jurisdiction have been instructed to conduct a mass social work event on October 21, 2024, starting at 7:00 AM. This initiative is part of the preparations for the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2024.
In the communication, Chumlamo Humtsoe, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of MMC, emphasized the importance of mobilizing residents for mass public participation. Ward authorities are also requested to provide high-quality photographs of the event for submission to the administration.
Meanwhile, the Home Department has announced a rescheduling of the previously planned mass social work originally set for October 21, 2024 in Kohima. In a notification issued on October 18, 2024, the department confirmed that the event will now take place on October 25, 2024, starting at 7:00 AM due to inclement weather conditions. The distribution of work for the event will remain unchanged.
