Mokokchung, September 21 (MTNews): Prof Jagdish Kumar Patnaik, the new Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University during his inaugural speech at the International Conference on BioResources and BioEconomy (ICBB) in Lumami on Tuesday send a strong message that he is here to do good for the university and that he means business. “He made it clear that he is aware of the politics within the university and that the growth and progress of University must not be allowed to be held to ransom by a mere 5% as against the remaining 95%” an attendee of the ICBB reported. Prof Patnaik was Pro Vice Chancellor of Mizoram University and is a social scientist with a background in Political Science.
He called upon the teaching community and the students to come together and work for the progress of the university. He shared that he was getting a lot of congratulatory messages and that one common line in most messages was “To greater Heights” and this he promised to achieve.
