The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has announced that the 9th edition of the Captain N Kenguruse, Mahavir Chakra, Memorial Football Tournament 2025 is tentatively scheduled to be held from October 22 to November 6. The tournament will take place at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Organised by the 45 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles/IGAR (North), the event is being conducted in collaboration with the NFA, as confirmed through a communication from the 45 Assam Rifles (Letter No. 3004/GS(MCA)Op Sad/2025/830 dated July 21, 2025).
In this regard, all 17 member District Football Associations affiliated with the NFA have been informed to nominate one team each, preferably champions at district-level football tournament, to participate in the state-level tournament.
The deadline for submission of team nominations to the NFA office is September 20, 2025. The tournament fixture will be officially drawn on September 25, 2025.
