The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has issued a heartfelt appeal to churches across the state to uphold in prayer the successful construction of the much-anticipated Nagaland Foothills Road, also known as the Trans Nagaland Expressway.
In a statement, the NFHRCC urged all believers in Nagaland to dedicate a few moments of prayer on Sunday, April 27, 2025, specifically for the completion and success of the Foothills Road project. The committee described the initiative as a “clarion call” for spiritual support as the first phase of the road construction is already underway.
The NFHRCC has requested prayers for two key areas: Judicious and timely completion of the road project, which aims to connect Tizit in Mon District to Khelma in Peren District—a stretch covering approximately 395 kilometers. Wisdom and unity among all stakeholders, including lawmakers, civil society organizations (CSOs), and especially land donors, to ensure an inclusive and welfare-oriented development for the people of Nagaland.
