In line with its long-standing commitment to the “Nagaland People’s Road,” the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) carried out a joint inspection of the ongoing Foothills Road construction works in the Niuland sector on Tuesday, alongside officials from the concerned department.
The inspection team assessed the progress of the road widening project and the construction of a 36.58-meter (120 feet) span galvanized double-lane modular steel bridge over River Dadi.
According to the technical briefing, approximately 20% of the physical road works have been completed, while around 40% of the cross-drainage structures and protection walls are in place.
The NFHRCC noted that the works are progressing in accordance with the prescribed technical specifications. Following the site visit, the joint inspection team urged the department release appropriate funds accordingly.
