The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) today inaugurated the construction of the second Double Lane Galvanized Steel Bridge over the River Jungju at Hayiyan-Liphi Village, located in the Baghty Sector of Bhandari Sub-Division. The launch ceremony, held on January 17, 2025, was marked by a simple prayer program.
According to an update from the NFHRCC, the project is to be executed by the Quinker Enterprises at the cost of Rs 2.04 crore as per NPWD, R&B Sanction Work Order. The bridge is expected to be completed within a time frame of 11 months.
In addition to the launch of the bridge, the NFHRCC has urged firms and contractors who have already signed the Implementing Agreement to begin their respective works as soon as possible. However, some contractors are yet to sign the Implementing Agreement with the Committee. These contractors have been given a deadline of January 20, 2025, to comply.
The contractors yet to sign the agreement are:
1. M/S Yanna Enterprises – Naganimora Division
2. M/S Pongshi Phom & Sons – Longleng Division
3. M/S Shangpoh Konyak – Mon/Tizit Division
4. M/S Onkho Construction & Supplier – Mon/Tizit Division
5. M/S Ren Kik_E.Z,J & Co – Baghty Division
6. M/S JK Constructions – Baghty Division (Two Work Orders)
7. M/S Chabou & Co – Baghty Division
