The scheduled joint meeting of the Nagaland Foot Hills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) with officials from the concerned Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) has been postponed. This decision was made due to the absence of the Commissioner & Secretary of NPWD, who is currently out of station.
Moreover, it mentioned that the concerned department had agreed in principle to sign a tripartite agreement aimed at ensuring joint monitoring and transparent execution of specific works, as urged by the NFHRCC committee.
The NFHRCC’s decision to postpone the meeting indicates the committee’s careful approach toward addressing key concerns. While the delay may cause temporary uncertainty, it also allows more time for thoughtful discussion and preparation. Stakeholders should view this as an opportunity for better coordination and stronger outcomes once the meeting reconvenes.
