Mokokchung, September 16 (MTNews): The Nagaland Gaon Buras Federation (NGBF) on Friday wrote to the national president of BJP, JP Nadda, saying that the Nagaland Assembly elections of 2018 could happen without any hindrances following the assurance on “Election for Solution” given by the then BJP in charge of Nagaland, Ram Madhav. “The term of the present Assembly would be over by March 2023. We expect that the commitment given by the BJP would be honored without any fail,” NGBF wrote.

NGBF also wrote that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already committed that what is possible would be done. “Therefore, whatsoever agreed and settled as on 31 October 2019 has to be translated into an agreement and enforced with immediate effect,” NGBF stated. It went on to say that the Elections should be conducted only for the legally constituted legislature of Nagaland as per the settlement reached. NGBF also reminded Nadda that it has been agreed by the Government of India that all pending matters would be resolved through democratic process after the political solution is settled and assured him of “a peaceful and congenial environment for transition.”

“We expect an assurance from you on the aforementioned matter,” NGBF concluded.
