Mokokchung, October 23 (MTNews): The Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has expressed confidence over the ongoing development on reconciliation and peace process initiated by Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and has welcomed the recent agreement reached between NSCN (I-M) and NNPGs to form the Council of Naga Relationships and Cooperation (CNRC) to explore realistic ways for Nagas to move forward on the basis of Naga historical and political rights.
NGBF in a press release issued by its Media Cell said that the ‘September Joint Accordant’ led to an agreement to form the Council of Naga Relationships and Cooperation (CNRC) to explore realistic ways for Nagas to move forward on the basis of Naga historical and political rights.
“This Initiative is really a response to people’s yearning for reconciliation and unity. It is worth appreciating the maturity shown both by our Naga political negotiating parties,” NGBF stated. NGBF added that its main concern has been unity and peace amongst the Naga brethren.
NGBF said, “During the factional confrontation, we had organized a peace initiative by forming the GB &DB joint forum and successfully brought peace amongst our Naga political groups. Till date both the parties has restrained themselves and shunned violence on the principle of reconciliation and peace.”
“We appeal to all the people to support the movement with maximum cooperation. When we, the Nagas, are united, no forces on earth can destroy our aspirations. The NGBF shall remain in prayers for the mission ahead of us,” it added.
