Mokokchung, 11 December (MTNews): Following the directives of the All India Health and National Health Mission Employees Federation (AIHNEF), a mass rally was organized at IMDH, Mokokchung on 11 December 2023. The rally was staged by the NHM Employees Association Nagaland (NEAM), Mokokchung Unit in solidarity with the AIHNEF, who organized a mass rally at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, putting forward a set of demands.
The demands include declaring all health department and NHM employees as government employees; ensure job security up to 65 years; ensure direct payment of salary to all outsource employees through the government; ensure social security benefits like Ex.PF, ESI, Gratuity, pension, etc.; and establish a Welfare Commission Board for the rights of the employees, along with other demands as per the charter of Employees’ demands of Mahasangh.
The AIHNEF represents all contractual and outstanding employees of Central and State-level schemes and programs.
Sentirenla Longchar, the publicity secretary of NEAM, Mokokchung Unit, stated that they envisage positive outcomes and further added that whatever information the organization circulates will be communicated to all NHM employees, who will act upon those pieces of information.
