The establishment of the college is an initiative of the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) in commemoration of its Platinum Jubilee. Minister Zhimomi highlighted that the college will cater to the increasing number of students in the district, especially those unable to move out of the area to pursue higher education.

“Education is an important aspect of development, and I applaud the WSBAK for this noble initiative, which will significantly shape not only the careers of students but also their lives,” said Zhimomi.

With a sprawling campus spread over 68 acres, Platinum College offers an ideal environment for academic, personal, and spiritual development. “I’m confident the college will be a center of excellence focusing on skill development and employability,” added the minister.

Minister Zhimomi also expressed gratitude to his NLA colleagues, H. Sethrongkhyu Sangtam, MLA & Advisor, Pangjung Jamir, MLA & Advisor, and Imtichoba.

“Congratulations to WSBAK and best wishes to everyone on this new and promising journey,” he concluded.
