Mokokchung, 26 February (MTNews): S Toiho Yeptho, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA representing Suruhuto, was officially declared elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the assembly during the 4th session of the 14th NLA today.
This appointment follows closely on the heels of Speaker Sharingain Longkumer’s dismissal of a disqualification petition lodged by the Sharad Pawar-led NCP against seven NCP MLAs in Nagaland.
