Mokokchung, 8 October (MTNews): The Naga National Council (NNC) convened a high-level meeting on 4 October 2023 to address crucial issues and make firm declarations, an update received here said. The meeting’s outcomes were disclosed through a press release jointly issued by Orent Lotha, Vice President of NNC Nagaland, and Tsupong Longchar, General Secretary (Adm) of NNC Nagaland.

During the meeting, the NNC resolved to “strongly condemn and reject the unconstitutional meeting of the NNC group held at Khulazu Basa village on 23 September 2023.”

“Since the time of its (N.N.C) inception the reputation and the honour of the Naga National Council (NNC) has been the subject of distortion for many people,” it stated.

“However, the NNC will always stand firm on Naga Ezapo. The house reaffirmed and strongly support the leadership of NNC president Gen. (Rtd) Thinoselie M Keyho and shall continue to support the rights of the Nagas,” it said.
