President of the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Tsukti Longkumer, told Mokokchung Times that there is no information or directive from any quarter to impose the ‘Bharat Bandh’ in Nagaland. It was also informed that the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CNCCI) is also out of the loop.
It may be recalled that MCCI and CNCCI had earlier participated in a ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on February 18, 2019.
The ‘Bharat Bandh’ on 28-29 March is being called by a joint forum of central trade unions. Essential services including banks, electricity, transportation etc are likely to be affected in the country.
