The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued a directive requiring that all unions, associations, and individuals seeking to organize fund-raising activities, including tambola, sales day events, and other similar gatherings, must first obtain an official event permit from the MMC office.
The announcement warns that any fundraising activity held without proper authorization from MMC will be subject to penalties. Penalties may include the cancellation of the event or program in question. The MMC emphasized that this measure is to be followed strictly by all concerned parties.
Sources told MT that “some fees” will be there for obtaining the ‘Event Permit’. The permit will be issued by the MMC Chairman.
