Peren, 20 March: The National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), in collaboration with the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Peren, observed World Oral Health Day under the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Life” at PM Shri Government High School, Peren, on March 20.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aoyanger, District Nodal Officer (DNO), NOHP, District Hospital Peren, highlighted the importance of dental and oral hygiene. He encouraged students to take care of their oral health, noting that good oral hygiene contributes to overall well-being and a healthier life.
A short play on the importance of oral hygiene was presented by students. Medical officials also demonstrated proper brushing techniques.
Neilasenuo Jane Yhome, Clinical Psychologist, delivered a brief talk on mental health awareness during the programme.
An oral health pledge was administered to participants. Altogether, 230 students and 20 teaching staff attended the programme. Free toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed.
