Kohima, 28 July (MTNews): The five-day long All India Football Federation (AIFF) D’ License Course initiated by Khiamniungan Sports Council under the aegis of Nagaland Football Association for Noklak district concluded successfully at the IG Stadium Kohima on Friday.

In the closing ceremony program, K Neibou Sekhose, Nagaland Football Association president urged the coaches to give back to society by sharing the knowledge that they have learnt during coaching camp. He added that coaches need to have patience, understanding, a good character to be role models and the ability to bring out the best of the players.

 

While appreciating the Khiamniungan Sports Council for organizing the course, he informed that with the introduction of Football for Schools project by All India Football Federation, it has given the opportunity to Nagaland to train more coaches with the motive to have qualified coaches in all the schools in the state.

 

Informing that the association will be organizing an AIFF C license course later this year, he also urged the coaches to set their target for the C license course in the future.

 

Khiamniungan Sports Council president Musho Lam said that due to lack of adequate infrastructure and facilities in Noklak district, the course was held in Kohima with the initiative of the sports council.

 

“You are taking responsibility back,” he said to the coaches and asked them to mold the upcoming footballers in return.

 

He also appreciated the Nagaland Football Association and Department of Youth Resources for giving a platform to the district to host a course in the state capital.

 

The instructor N William Koso expressed optimism that with the introduction of the course to the trainees from Noklak district, there will be more football development in the district to produce quality footballers.

 

Altogether, 24 football coaches from Noklak district took part in the weeklong camp. N William Koso, AIFF D Coach Educator and AFC A licensed coach was the instructor for the course. The results of the course will be announced by AIFF at a later date.
