Four Nagaland women cricketers selected
Mokokchung, 11 November (MTNews): The Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T-20 Trophy is set to be held in Lucknow from the 24th of November to the 4th of December 2023.
Hyunilo Anilo Khing, the Honorary Secretary of the Nagaland Cricket Association and the Convenor for the Northeast Zone, and also the Convenor for NE Zone informed that 4 Senior Women players from Nagaland will be a part of the Northeast Zone team.
Limatola Ao, who is also the Nagaland senior women’s cricket team, will lead the Northeast Zone team as the captain. Joining her on the field from Nagaland will be Sentilemla Imsong, Sariba Khan, and Jyoti Thapa. Meanwhile, Wangshila Jamir will travel with the squad as the Women’s Northeast Zone team physio.
The Northeast Zone is a conglomeration of 6 Northeastern States Cricket Associations, namely, Sikkim CA, Nagaland CA, Arunachal CA, Meghalaya CA, Manipur CA and CA Mizoram.
The Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T-20 trophy will follow a league cum knockout format, where six zones, including the North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone, Central Zone, and Northeast Zone, will compete for India’s premier domestic title.
