The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has announced the cancellation of the scheduled public rally of Congress President and Member of Parliament Shri Mallikarjun Kharge.
The rally, initially planned for October 7 at NSF Solidarity Park, Kohima, had been postponed indefinitely due to Shri Kharge’s health concerns. The NPCC stated that the event is now cancelled following continued medical advice from his healthcare team.
In a statement, the NPCC expressed regret over the cancellation and extended apologies to Congress workers and the people of Nagaland who had been eagerly anticipating the event.
The committee added that a new date for Shri Kharge’s visit will be announced in due course, based on communication from the All India Congress Committee (AICC). The NPCC also conveyed wishes for Shri Kharge’s speedy and full recovery.
