Kohima, 9 August (MTNews): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) celebrated International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples cum community dinner at Congress Bhavan Kohima on 9 August, 2023.
This celebration was called by the All India Congress Committee where they urged all the PCCs to organize ‘Adivasi Gaurav Parv’ to honor the rich cultural heritage of the tribals and appreciate their role as the ‘torch bearers of a sustainable world’.
Stating that the BJP regime is “insulting, humiliating and harassing” the tribal communities while “depriving them of their legitimate rights,” the AICC said they will support them in their “fight against the consistent erosion of their rights and identity over the past nine years.”
