The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has seen one of its senior office bearers step down, with Yanger Longkumer, Chairperson of the Communications Department, resigning from the Indian National Congress on November 22.
In a letter addressed to the NPCC president, Longkumer wrote, “I hereby tender my resignation from the membership of the Indian National Congress with immediate effect… This decision has been made after careful consideration, and I believe it to be in the best interest of both the party and myself.” He conveyed gratitude to party leaders and colleagues for their “trust, guidance and camaraderie.”
