The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today organized a peaceful protest demonstration at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s insulting remarks towards Dr BR Ambedkar’s legacy. Members of the NPCC, KDCC, and various frontals actively participated in the protest, showing unity and determination to safeguard the ideals of justice, equality, and democracy enshrined in the Constitution, the NPCC said in a press release.
“The NPCC considers Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy as the foundation of our democracy and any insult to it is an insult to every Indian. We will continue to stand firm in defense of our Constitution,” it said.
The NPCC further reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the values envisioned by Dr Ambedkar and called on citizens to join the fight against any attempt to undermine them.
