NPCC tour team visits Mon district, key leaders join Congress

The official tour team of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), led by Shame Angh, former MLA, and Denngan, retired Secretary of the Government of Nagaland, visited the Mon District Congress Committee (DCC) today, giving a substantial boost to the Congress party in the region, an update said.

During the visit, several individuals from various political backgrounds formally joined the Congress party, signifying growing momentum for the party ahead of upcoming political events, it said. A formal joining letter was handed over to the NPCC officials at the Mon DCC office, marking a key moment in the day’s proceedings, it added.

The leaders expressed their appreciation for the new members and assured their full support as they work toward strengthening the party’s presence in the Mon district. Encouraged by the success of today’s event, many more individuals are expected to join the Congress party in the coming days, adding further momentum to the party’s resurgence in the region, the update said.

A major highlight of the visit was the joining of Wangka Konyak, former RPI candidate from the 47 Aboi Assembly Constituency (AC), along with all his party workers, into the Congress party. The event, held at Aboi Town, witnessed the presence of the NPCC tour team, marking a turning point for the Congress in the area. The new members were formally welcomed by the NPCC officials, with a joining letter being handed over to commemorate the occasion.
