Wokha, 8 July (MTNews): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) team, led by President S Supongmeren Jamir, conducted a visit to the Wokha District Congress Committee (DCC) on 7 July. During their visit, they held a closed-door meeting and engaged in extensive discussions with the DCC officials regarding the progress of ongoing welfare schemes and development projects in the district. The NPCC emphasized the importance of timely completion of ongoing projects and urged all concerned departments not to neglect or abandon the projects.

Recognizing the significance of the Social Welfare Department’s humanitarian initiatives, particularly the Old Age Pensions and Disabilities Schemes, the NPCC acknowledged their efforts. However, they urged the department to ensure the prompt release of the schemes to the intended beneficiaries.

 

In addition to the meeting with DCC officials, the NPCC and DCC representatives also paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP), Wokha. During the visit, they conveyed their willingness to extend full cooperation from the Congress party for any initiatives aimed at the welfare of the citizens.
