Mokokchung, July 17 (MTNews): President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), K Therie, stated that the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue’s 16 July 2022 meeting resolutions reflecting the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, “which is the only mandated authority, has finally given recognition to the two official agreements between GoI and Naga National Workers namely the Framework Agreement with the NSCN (IM) and the Agreed Position with the Working Committee of the NNPGs.”
He also stated that it is also a reaffirmation of the 31st October 2019 declaration on talks being officially concluded and went on to congratulate all the 60 members for finally “realizing and being able to assert their position.”
“With the ‘Peoples’ Government’ finally endorsing the two official agreements and the official conclusion of talks, there is no longer any reason for the GoI to delay implementation of the solution. The ball now lies in GoI’s court to implement solution for the already concluded talks,” Therie said.
Therie further said that it only requires the political will of the BJP led central government as committed in 2018 ‘Election for Solution’ by BJP Ram Madhav, national general secretary and in-charge of Northeast.
