The Naga People’s Front (NPF) central team conducted a constituency tour programme in Meluri Division on March 25.
Representatives of the central team, including members from the Central Office Bearers (COB), Central Frontal Wings and Cells, attended the programme along with office bearers of the Meluri Division.
Addressing the meeting, Khongjag Konyak, Senior Vice President, COB, spoke on the merger of NDPP and NPF. He stated that the primary objective of coming together is to unite the Nagas and facilitate a resolution to the protracted Naga political issue.
He emphasized the party’s ideology, stating that the NPF stands for the protection of Naga culture and traditions and represents Naga identity. He added that under the leadership of Dr. Neiphiu Rio, the party is reorganizing to expand its presence across the Northeast. He urged party workers to remain united and committed.
Dr. Chumben Murry, Senior Vice President, COB, said the tour aims to strengthen coordination between the central and divisional units and gather grassroots grievances. He stressed the importance of strong ideology and leadership for long-term success.
Pusazo Luruo, Working President, COB, highlighted the party’s evolution and reaffirmed its commitment to Naga identity.
The presidential address was delivered by Reipetho S. Nyuwi, President, NPF Meluri Division. The programme was chaired by Chili Thurr, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Thsüvila.
