Senapati, February 16 (MTNews): The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Manipur State Unit, kicked off its campaign for the Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 in Senapati today. Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and a host of leaders of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) government in Nagaland, including former Chief Minister and chairman of UDA, TR Zeliang, attended the kickoff program. The Manipur Legislative Assembly elections will be held in two phases, on February 28 and March 5, 2022. Ten candidates of the NPF are in the foray.
TR Zeliang said that NPF was the only party which truly stand for the cause of the Nagas and expressed confidence that the electorates would make a conscious choice and vote NPF for all round progress and peace. He also exuded optimism that the 10 NPF candidates would return victorious with the blessings of the people. Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, also wished the NPF candidates his best wishes and success.
