The NPF Mokokchung Division along with the 10 assembly constituency units of the party has resolved to work ceaselessly for the uplift of the party and success of NPF candidates in the ensuing assembly elections.

The NPF Mokokchung Division also saluted the “principled stand and determination of the honorable MLAs of the party for their steadfast support and dedication.” Further, the NPF Mokokchung Division resolved to recommend and forward candidates that are true and committed to the party in the forthcoming assembly election.

NPF Mokokchung Division also resolved to stand by the leadership of Dr. Shurhozelie Leizietsü, President NPF Central; MLA Azo Neino, Leader of the NPF Legislature Party and Co-Convenor UDA; and Dr. Ngangshi K Ao, MLA and NPF Chief Whip.

Delivering his presidential address at the meeting, Moasangba Jamir, President of NPF Mokokchung Division stated that since the formation of NPF in1963 as Democratic Party of Nagaland under the “Cock symbol,” the party has always stood for an honorable, acceptable and inclusive solution to the Naga political issue. “The NPF still stands firm on those principles,” he added.

He also stated that the recent merger of the 21 NPF representatives with NDPP was not for a solution to the Naga political issue but for personal gains through political platforms.

The president claimed that NPF was stable and that the present opposition-less UDA government has given the opportunity for NPF to strive and excel. “If we are united, together we can,” he said.

The meeting was chaired by General Secretary (Admin) Tangit Imsong and recorded by General Secretary Tsuklongti.
