The Naga Peoples Front (NPF) Phek Division held its oath taking ceremony for the newly appointed Division Office Bearers and Frontal Wings Youth, Women and Farmers on December 5 at Pfutsero Town.

Delivering the keynote address, Nagaland’s power & parliamentary affairs minister KG Kenye highlighted the brief history of the NPF.

MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu expressed that it was the divine intervention of Almighty God that the merger of the NDPP with its 32 MLAs into the NPF which had only two MLAs.

He reaffirmed his personal allegiance to the regional cock party and stated that he never betrays the party under any circumstance.

Urging party workers to be accommodative and sacrificial in the post-merger period of the two regional parties, he encouraged them to remain faithful and sincere in all party affairs.

Nuzota Swuro, Senior Vice congratulated all newly appointed office bearers. Acknowledging that minor oversight is possible while selecting and assigning posts, he appealed to everyone to understand and appreciate each other’s limitations and sacrifices. He called upon party men and women to rise above past differences, remain united and work with commitment to strengthen the NPF. Later, Swuro administered the oath of allegiance.

Earlier, the program was chaired by NPF vice president K Puroh.
