The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Office Bearers (COB) on Thursday adopted a series of resolutions aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational structure, including a decision to hold its General Convention on October 21, 2025, coinciding with the party’s Foundation Day.

The meeting, held at the NPF Conference Hall in Kohima, was chaired by Pusazo Luruo, Working President, and recorded by Mathew Rongmei, Press Secretary.

Delivering the Presidential Address, Apong Pongener, President of NPF, expressed gratitude to all party workers for their cooperation and support. He lauded the efforts of the party’s two MLAs — Achumbemo Kikon and Azo Neinu — for their active participation during the State Assembly sessions, which he said has earned them wide appreciation.

Pongener also reflected on his long journey within the party, recalling its many challenges and the collective resilience that has enabled it to emerge stronger.

He urged members to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party’s principles and to work towards unity and progress.

During the discussions led by Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon, the members unanimously adopted the following resolutions:
·Reiterating the resolution of the Central Executive Council (CEC) passed on September 6, 2025.
·Appreciating the President’s initiative to pave the way for a new arrangement within the party to strengthen its base at both grassroots and central levels.
·Deciding to hold the General Convention on October 21, 2025, at Kohima, in view of the positive response from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).
·Appealing to every Naga citizen to pray for the successful conduct of the proposed General Convention.
