Mokokchung, August 24 (MTNews): The NPP Tuensang District held a Consultative Meeting with the state parent body at the Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) Hall in Tuensang as part of the 9th leg of the ongoing District Tour made by the NPP Nagaland State Parent Body on the 23rd of August 2022.

 

Officials from the State and District Frontal Bodies, including the Women Wing and the NPYF, also attended the meet.

 

In his address to the gathering, NPP State President Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema discussed the NPP’s vision for the next generation and assured the people of Nagaland of the party’s progressive goals and aspirations under the dynamic leadership of National President Conrad K. Sangma and his able team. He stated the belief that the party will undoubtedly unite the entire North East under one political roof in order to fulfill the party’s motto of “One Voice, One North East.”

 

Aghali Achumi, Secretary, State NPYF, reiterated Conrad K. Sangma’s words that ‘Youth are the Future of the Nation,’ challenged the youths not to look for “shortcut methods of making money during elections,” but to be focused on the future and reform the society for the upcoming generation.

 

Lima Longchar, State Advisor, and Philip Lam, speaking on behalf of the State Team, rallied the gathering and encouraged them to continue the enrolment drive on a war footing. They also expressed the common problems and needs shared by the people of Eastern Nagaland, including Tuensang.

 

B. Binyemjong, Advisor to the NPP Tuensang District, informed the State Team about the new district team of the parent body, youth, and women, as well as all rank and file members from the 51 Noksen Assembly Constituency, and how they are working together to strengthen the party.

 

Khumpise Lise Sangtam, Tuensang District President of the party, delivered the welcome speech.

 

Several agendas were discussed during the discussion hour, including the party’s candidature for the upcoming assembly election from Tuensang District, party membership drive, strategies to be followed for the next assembly polls, and so on, during which party representatives committed themselves to the party’s unity and progress at all levels.

 

Yangthery, General Secretary (Org), NPP Tuensang District, suggested a vote of thanks at the end of the meeting. Sao Tola, Joint Secretary, Tuensang District NPYF, presided over the meeting.
