NPP Nagaland installs unit at 18 Chozuba Assembly Constituency

Phek, November 24 (MTNews): NPP Nagaland State successfully installed its 18 Chozuba Assembly Constituency Unit under Phek District during a solemn function held at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall, Chozuba on Tuesday, November 22. The function was attended by the Party’s State and District Functionaries including officials of the Women and Youth Wing.

 

 

 

Chiveyi Phesao Nyekha will lead the new team of Chozuba as its A/C Unit President along with Nuvoto Nyekha as the Working President and other office bearers. The team from Chozuba profusely thanked the State Team for taking the initiative of installing the unit and for personally visiting Chozuba for the induction of the new team.

 

 

According to them, this act of the State Team displays their concern for development of the grassroots levels of the party which will surely boost the confidence of the party workers.

 

 

Some of the senior leaders including Veprasa Nyekha (NJS), former District & Sessions Judge expressed that the historic installation of a unit of NPP is a red-letter day for Chozuba which has produced tall leaders including the former Chief Minister of Nagaland, Late Vamuzo Phesao.

 

 

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, the State President of NPP stated that, in politics, there were no good or bad parties and it is the leaders and the members who determine the image of the party. Emphasizing on the need to have good leaders, he expressed that good leaders will bring about all round development at all the levels.

 

 

According to him, the NPP is a party set up and led by leaders from the North East for the progress and benefit of the people of the region. He stated that it is the only party from the North East to have achieved a National Party’s stature. He highlighted that NPP is a people oriented party based on the ideology laid down by its founder, Late P.A. Sangma and look up to uncorrupted and leaders of integrity like Conrad K. Sangma.

 

 

He further called upon the newly inducted members to work in close coordination with the District and State team and to choose capable leaders, while also asking them to be loyal to the party’s ethics and principles. He exuded positive confidence that some members from other parties are shortly going to resign en masse and join the NPP as they consider NPP as the best alternative national political party. He concluded on a positive hope that the party’s motto of ‘One Voice One North East’ will surely take the region, especially the state of Nagaland, forward in the future.

 

 

The other speakers during the occasion included Deo Nukhu, Senior State Advisor cum Convenor, NPP Phek District; Lima Longchar, State Advisor cum Convenor, Mokokchung District; and Dr. Keviseto Kintso, Working President, State NPYF & Convenor, NPP Kohima District. They shared their thoughts and ideas on different issues including the upcoming election and the various avenues which the people of Chozuba can take up for the development of their constituency.

 

 

Earlier, the program was led by Vezokha Nyekha, Legal Advisor, NPP, Chozuba A/C as the Chairperson. The invocation was pronounced by Rev. Venyizo Khüsoh, Pastor, AG Church Yorsüba while the welcome address was delivered by Veprasa Nyekha (NJS), former District & Sessions Judge. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Chiveyi Phesao Nyekha, President, 18 Chozuba A/C. The program came to its conclusive end with mass benediction.
