Mokokchung, 1 June (MTNews): The 2nd Inter District Shooting Championship 2023 in Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun (NR) will take place from 21 to 24 June at the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Range in Bamunphukuri-I, Dimapur. The championship is organized and conducted by the Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) in accordance with the rules and regulations stated in the NRAI Match Book 2022 (amended).
The NRA has requested all shooters who have not received or applied for their Shooter ID number to visit the NRAI website at www.thenrai.org. They can check the status of their application or apply for their Shooter ID number immediately.
The NRA has set a deadline for accepting entries with the normal fee. All entries with the normal fee will be accepted until 6:00 PM on 15 June. However, late entries will still be considered until 6:00 PM on June 17 but with a triple entry fee.
The championship will feature the following events:
10M AIR RIFLE
10M AIR PISTOL
25M PISTOL
25M RAPID FIRE PISTOL
50M .22 PEEP SIGHT RIFLE
50M .22 OPEN SIGHT RIFLE
SHOTGUN
The NRA has stated that the organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules at its sole discretion in the case of events or circumstances beyond its control. It emphasized that any decision made by the Organizing Committee regarding such matters will be final.
Furthermore, all participants are required to adhere to the rules and regulations of the competitions. The NRA also emphasized on the importance of discipline both on and off the field. Shooting practices in hotels are strictly prohibited, it said.
