Mokokchung, November 4 (MTNews): The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) held its 10th Multimedia Campaign, an awareness campaign through music with the theme “HIV prevention starts with me,” on Friday evening at the Mokokchung Town Hall.
As an inducement to disseminate awareness among the young generation, the Zonal District Level Band Competition of Mokokchung Zone was held with four bands competing, each presenting a cover and an original song. Progressive Souls from Zuheboto, The Saints from Tuensang, Tell A Story from Mokokchung, and Kenny & the Faith Band from Kohima were the four bands.
The Progressive Souls was declared the winner of the beat contest, with Tell A Story and Kenny & The Faith Band taking first and second runners-up places respectively. The winner received a monetary award of Rs. 25,000 while the first runner-up received Rs. 20,000, and the second runner-up received Rs. 15,000.
The competition was judged by Ali Imsong, proprietor of Resonate Studio, Mokokchung; Ayu N Mongro, keyboardist of Tune-Up Channel; and Prashant Thapa, DAPCU representative. The winner and first runner-up from each Zone / Zonal District, will compete in the grand finale in Kohima.
